Hello Everyone! I hope you all have a very merry and blessed Christmas and a happy New Year! We are all doing well. Mommy is finally feeling better and her belly is growing. I am also doing great and enjoyed all the holidays in December that included men bringing gifts.
We start December off with Nikolaus Tag (Day) on December 8th. It is tradition in Austria that St. Nikolaus brings the kids presents, peanuts, chocolate and mandarins on December 6th. The day before I actually got to see a real live Nikolaus and some kids in my school dressed up as Nikolaus for our party. In the morning on the 6th I opened the front door and there was a sack and a Chocolate Nikolaus waiting for me. I was sooooo happy! I got some nice presents including big girl underwear!!!

After Nikolaus day was over I continued opening up my advent calender daily and enjoying the surprises it held (chocolate, finger puppets, matchbox cars, etc.). And most of all it was the countdown to when Santa Claus and the Christkind were coming.
On December 21st Santa Claus came to our apartment. He had to come a few days early because we weren't home on December 24th! He must have slipped in the balcony door while I was upstairs visiting the neighbors because when I got back home there were loads of presents under our tree!!! I got all sorts of goodies from Santa, Mom, Dad, Eric, Jessica, Betsy and Bill. I even surprised mom and dad with a Christmas Tree napkin holder that I had made at school.

The next day we were off to Kärnten to celebrate my Ur-Opa's 80th Birthday party. And then we spent a few days waiting for the Christkind. My two Aunties took me up to the mountain (mom and dad were along of course) for my first try as sledding. I loved it and didn't want to share the sled with the other kids anymore.

And on the 24th the third "man" came, the Christkind. He brought me lots and lots of gifts as well. I went for a long walk in the afternoon with my mom and dad and when we returned home we put on our nice clothes. After we were all ready I heard a bell and when I came into the living room at Oma's house there was a big, beaitful tree with candles and lights and lots of packages! It was really a wonderful holiday. On the 25th we all went to church and I got a chance to see a big manger scene. It was really pretty.
