Summer!

Hi! Well, summer is here and has been for a while. It has been SO hot here in Austria.
Mom and Dad take me swimming pretty often and otherwise I get to run around next to naked. Helps to keep me cool. I have had a couple of exciting weeks. Mom was gone to Italy and I had a great time with Dad. And then friends come to visit for a day and we went swimming. I also got to go to a birthday party for a little friend of mine and went to my new daycare for a morning to try it out. We played in the little swimming pool at the birthday party.

The birthday boy got a tractor for his birthday and I got to play with a little bit. A few things I love: tractors and cars, peanut butter, being naked, playing in the water, reading books (A big fat Hen is my favorite book right now), watering the flowers, and learning new words. I can say a lot of words and Mom and Dad are impressed with the new words I learn daily. Some new words: tractor, baum (tree), bitte schön, danke, thank you, please, PB (peanut butter), malen (color).

I am still a bit of a picky eater, but the things I love to eat are: meat (including chicken, turkey, pork chops, and anything off the grill...mom and dad say I am really Oma and Grandpa's granddaugther), cream of vegetable soup (mom makes it for me...otherwise I don't really care for veggies), noodles, rice, yogurt, apples, rice cakes, peanut butter (but no Jelly, please), chocolate (and again, mom says I am really grandma's grandaugter).
I am counting the days down until we fly to America. Or I guess I would be if I knew how to count. Mom is really excited, Dad too, which makes me really excited. See you all soon! XOXOXO

Fun with clips and other stuff!

Hello hello hello!
Things are going great here in Graz. I am growing like a weed, or so my mom says. And am getting smarter everyday. I can say lots of words now. About half german half english. I think it's a pretty good combination. I say: owie, teller (plate), la-la (empty), beppy (betsy), tractor, milk, wa-wa (water) and many other things. I love to look at books, especially before nap and bed time. I like to color pictures...mom says it's like modern art. I also like to play with clothes pins. They are fun to put on my nose. I also keep busy with my friends and going to day care three times a week.
Mom is going to Italy with two girlfriends this weekend. I think she needs the break and so does she. Dad is staying here to take care of me. I think it will be a pretty fun daddy-zoe weekend. Mom is pretty nervous about leaving me. Not because doesn't have faith in daddy, but because she is going to miss me. She has never left me before and maybe, just maybe, she is feeling a bit bad for having fun without me.

I also got a cool new haircut, which you might notice in some of the pictures. Papa says I look a little like a boy now. Mom doesn't think so. But I am not so sure. Some old man on the tram told me what a cute little boy I am. Mom said, 'Nein. Sie ist ein Mädchen'. But that's the first time that has happened since I was a little tiny baby. So there must be some truth to it...me looking like a boy, that is.
I hope you all have a good rest of the month. A big, fat Happy Birthday kiss to Aunt Beppy!
Ba-Bye!

Mommy got a 2!

Hello Everyone!
I just want to share the good news with you all:
Mommy got a 2 on her German test. A 2 is the second best...only a 1 is better. I guess I can let the 2 slide since she is always doing such a good job taking care of me.
The weather has been, mostly, nice here in Graz. We have had some rain, but mostly during the night which doesn't keep me from going outside during the day. I am still going to daycare this summer, which I think is great. Mommy thinks its good too!
We are getting excited about our trip to the US. Mama and I are flying into DC on the 4th of September and then meeting Papa later on in the month in Wichita. We get to stay until the 13th of October. So much time to learn and practice my English. I am really excited!!!!
My two Tantes, Katharina and Julia, are the US right now with Grandma and Grandpa and from what I can see they are having a great time.
Happy 4th of July to everyone!
