Birthday Girl!

Hello Everyone!!! Today is my 1st Birthday. I am now officially a toddler and not a baby anymore. I celebrated the day with my mom and dad and it was great. After breakfast I got to open presents and gots lots of cool things. I got a Bobby Car, some clothes, a cat puzzle and some little buckets for the bathtub. After lunch my friend, Pascal, came over and ate cake with me. It was so yummy...lots of sugar. And in the late afternoon I got to go downtown with my mom and meet my friend Emily. We hung out at a cafe for a little bit and I got a book from Emily. Now we are back at home and I am feeling pretty exhausted from my busy birthday. My mom says that we are going to celebrate even more this weekend. My Austrian family is coming on Sunday for lunch. It is really great to be 1!!!

Zoe's new chair

I got a new chair. It was a present from my Great-Grandma Kassl. My birthday is in one week and it was an early birthday present. I really like it. It makes me feel like I am right up at the table like mom and dad.
I am just recovering from having the stomach flu again!!! Can you believe it? I am not even 1 year old and I have had the flu 2 times and both times within 2 weeks of each other. It doesn't seem fair. And now to top it off my dad got the chicken pox. Mom says I can't post a picture of that because it could be embarassing for Papa. So, now everyone is wondering if I am going to get the chicken pox. Mom says it wouldn't be so bad because then I wouldn't have to worry about it when I am older. But when I see how itchy dad is then it makes me think that maybe I'd like to skip it.


Anyway, we had to cancel my birthday party, but since I don't even understand what that is, I guess I don't mind. I just want papa to get better so that he can play with me again. He does fun things with me like helping me drive my little car around the apartment.

Eberstein

This last weekend I was in Eberstein, where my Oma and Opa live. The weather was so great that I got to spend saturday morning playing outside with my mom and dad. My mom says its good to be outside and dad said fresh air is healthy. All I know is that outside I have lots of fun looking at the trees and cats.



I also have a great time walking around with dad. I like to show him things that I find like a leaf on the ground. He usually says, "No Zoe, pfooey. You dont need to pick that up...." But it is still fun to try everytime.








The other really fun thing that dad does with me is throw me up in the air. I laugh really hard becuase its so much fun. And here you can see the beautiful mountains and area around Eberstein. Its really pretty there.
